Regula and Ernst Häberli, who have supported our organisation for many years, visited ACATS' work in Kpalimé in February 2025. They share their impressions with us.
‘During our tour of Ghana in February 2025, we made a detour to Kpalimé to visit the ACATS school facilities. We were warmly welcomed by a teacher and the headmaster and given a tour of the facilities.
We were impressed by the size of the Kpogandzi complex: 4 large school buildings, each with 3 classrooms and a library. ACATS has opened another library in the school of Agoekondzi, in another neighbourhood of Kpalimé.
We were also allowed to look inside the classrooms. So many children in one classroom, active yet disciplined, happy and interested faces. The teachers' great commitment to the children was clearly noticeable. We had the impression that the children were in good hands at this school. In this poor environment, as is probably the case in many places in Togo, it was very good to see that there is a new beginning and hope! We thank everyone who contributed to this.’
